- Related varieties of Tisiphone occur around the East Australian coast as far as South Australia. In butterfly conservation the related Gold Coast subspecies Tisiphone abeonea morrisi, has sadly gone very endangered.
- Early awareness and action is needed to maintain our own species. For example the Australian Fritillary Argynnis hyperbuis is of unsure survival. One of the last sightings was around Maroochy Airport, decades ago.
